Breakfast
We arrived at the breakfast buffet at 8:15, and were ready for a great breakfast. I had an Omlette, which was surprising delicious.
The weather
When we stated this trip, I had an image of Morocco in my head, and this image included perfect riding days, every day. But, we’ve hit some rain after entering the country, and so even though I checked the weather, I was still a little unsure about how the day would unfold. It turned out to be an il-placed concern, and the weather today was about 70 F, all throughout the day.
The Medina is also made up of 100 tiny streets, with steep walls on both sides. So, the Medina is kept pretty cool overall.
Lunch
Lunch was very tough, and I did not tolerate the victory by Donald Trump very well.
The ride
The 411 km drive took until almost 6:30 PM, arriving at the hotel as the sun was nearing sunset. Today’s ride took us along some recently created grand highways. The roads were either perfect, or under construction, with all but a 10 mile stretch delivered in pristine form. We climbed to a high of almost 8000 feet, and ended our

Report from the road
Dinner
Dinner was at the main restaurant of the hotel. It was a buffet, and as usual, we suffered with too much food. I chose a mix of Moroccan favorites and went to work tasting all of the great dishes. Tonight, we had Tagine of beef, and spiced carrots, and of course, more olives.
Massage
We were told that we’d be able to book a Hammam, and a Massage at this hotel. We tried to book for tonight, but were told that all available slots were no longer available. So, Elizabeth booked reservations for 7:00 PM tomorrow night for a Hammam and a Massage for each of us.
What will tomorrow bring
Tomorrow we’ll layover in Erfoud, where we’ll experience some of the wonders of the Sahara. We’ll visit the dry wells that have been used by these people for a thousand years. In the afternoon, we’ll venture out into the dry dessert, and sandy dessert of the Sahara. We’ll be in 4X4 SUVs, capable of holding 6 adults, and we’ll visit a fossil extrication facility, a Berber tent, dry lake beds, and we’ll get a chance to ride a side-by-side buggy in the dunes and sands of the Sahara.
